Grounding the Body

Grounding the Body is a calming activity enhances body awareness and sensory integration through rhythmic breathing and gentle pressure, helping your child tune into their body’s sensations.

Inner Spirals

Inner Spirals helps improve body awareness and mental relaxation by guiding your child to visualise soothing spirals within their body. It promotes calm, introspection, and enhances the body schema, encouraging a deeper connection with the body.

Egg

Egg supports emotional regulation, enhances coordination, and helps integrate the Moro reflex, promoting calm and focus.

The Artistic Nose

The Artistic Nose is a visually creative activity enhances visual perception, promotes relaxation, and helps improve the visual-ocular reflex through creative, mindful movements.

Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers helps inhibit the Moro reflex, improve body awareness, and build emotional resilience through peaceful, rhythmic, and controlled movements.

Perfect Sun

Perfect Sun is a relaxing and imaginative activity promoting emotional resilience, relaxation, and body awareness through visualisation and calming imagery.

Deeply Relaxing Bodies

Deeply Relaxing Bodies is a calming activity to help your child relax their body, release tension, and promote a deep sense of calm and relaxation.

Positive Body Buttons

Positive Body Buttons is an empowering activity that uses positive thinking to help your child build emotional resilience and develop essential self-regulation skills.

Level 3A – Ages 4–8 | High Need – Calm and Relaxation Programme

 

Young children with high emotional need often show signs of overwhelm, restlessness, or difficulty switching off. These challenges can affect sleep, behaviour, concentration, and relationships. By developing tools to regulate their emotions and settle their nervous systems, children can begin to feel more in control, confident, and at ease.

 

This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.

 

The Level 3A Calm and Relaxation programme includes eight imaginative and deeply calming exercises, including Grounding the Body, Egg, Spring Flowers, Deeply Relaxing Bodies, The Artistic Nose, Positive Body Buttons, Inner Spirals, and Perfect Sun. Each game has been selected to promote short-term calm and support long-term emotional regulation and resilience.  These games combine visualisation, breathwork, movement, and sensory feedback to settle the nervous system and promote feelings of safety and rest. Repeated use supports children in finding their own calm, building inner stability, and recovering more quickly from stress.

 

Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
