Level 1A – Ages 4–8 | Mild Need – Body Awareness Programme
Some children appear uncoordinated, constantly bump into things, slouch, or struggle with tasks like handwriting, dressing, or following a PE routine. These signs may point to body awareness difficulties, where a child lacks an instinctive sense of their body in space or struggles to organise movements efficiently. This can impact self-esteem, learning, and everyday independence.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
The Level 1A Body Awareness programme includes eight imaginative movement games including; Simon Says, Bubble Capture, Perfect Sun, Silent Mirrors, The Healing Orb, Deeply Relaxing Bodies, Snow Angels, and Tiny Explorer. Each activity supports body coordination, spatial awareness, balance, and emotional connection through playful, engaging movement.
These exercises target both the sensory and motor systems, helping children build an internal body map, improve balance and control, and develop physical confidence. Repeated use supports stronger neural pathways, leading to better coordination, posture, and motor planning.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
