This Privacy and Cookies Policy applies to the websites Wired for Movement (www.wiredformovement.com) and

Wired for Learning (www.wiredforlearning.co.uk), which are both owned and operated by Wired for Education Ltd,

a company registered in England and Wales with its registered address at 63 Bedford Road, Cranfield, Bedfordshire,

United Kingdom, MK43 0EX (“we”, “us”, “our”).

 

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in accordance with the UK

General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It also sets out how we use cookies

and similar technologies on our websites.

 

1. Controller

Wired for Education Ltd is the data controller for all processing of personal data collected through the Websites, except

where schools upload pupil information into the School Hub. In that case, the school is the data controller, and Wired

for Education Ltd acts as a data processor on behalf of that school.

 

2. Information we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

• Identity and contact data: name, email address, telephone number, school name, and role or job title.

• Account data: login credentials, purchase history, and subscription details.

• Transaction data: billing information, invoices, payment confirmations, and renewal details.

• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information.

• Marketing and communication data: preferences for receiving information or updates.

• Pupil data (for School Hub users): limited data such as names or identifiers entered by schools under their

own control.

 

3. How we collect data

We collect information in the following ways:

• Directly from you when you create an account, make a purchase, subscribe, or contact us.

• Automatically through cookies and analytics technologies.

• From third-party services (e.g., payment processors) to confirm transactions.

 

4. Lawful bases for processing

We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Contract: to provide access to digital downloads, subscriptions, and customer support.

• Legitimate interests: to manage relationships, maintain security, and improve services.

• Consent: for marketing emails and optional cookies.

• Legal obligation: for record keeping, tax, and regulatory compliance.5. Payments

Payments for goods or subscriptions are processed securely through WooCommerce, Stripe, and PayPal. We do not

store or process full credit or debit card details. Payment providers are independently responsible for compliance with

the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).

 

6. Data sharing

We share personal data only where necessary with:

• Trusted service providers such as hosting, analytics, and email platforms.

• Payment gateways for order processing.

• Professional advisers under confidentiality agreements.

• Authorities or regulators where required by law.

All third-party processors act only under our instructions and are required to maintain appropriate security and

• Pupil data – retained only for the duration of the school’s subscription and deleted or returned on request.

• Analytics cookies: help us understand usage patterns (set only with consent).

may affect site functionality.

 

10. Schools and pupil data

When schools upload pupil information into the School Hub:• The school is the data controller.

• Wired for Education Ltd acts as a processor under the UK GDPR.

• Processing is limited to secure hosting, access management, and deletion upon request.

• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

• A separate Data Processing Addendum (DPA) governs these arrangements.

 

11. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including TLS encryption,

access controls, secure hosting, and staff confidentiality agreements. While no system is completely secure, we maintain

best-practice safeguards and respond promptly to incidents.

 

12. Your rights

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access your data

• Request correction or deletion

• Restrict or object to processing

• Request data portability

• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
