Level 2B – Ages 9–14 | Moderate Need – Muscle Tone Programme
Some children may appear unsteady, tire easily, or slouch when sitting or standing. They may avoid movement-based play, struggle to keep up in PE, or complain of physical tasks feeling harder than they should. These signs can point to low muscle tone, which can impact balance, confidence, and day-to-day participation.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
Developed for children aged 9–14 with moderate muscle tone needs, the Level 2B programme includes eight sequenced exercises, such as; Rising Snake, Flipping Limpets, and Wobbly Bottoms, designed to progressively build core strength, postural control, and physical stability. The exercises/games target both upper and lower body muscle tone using aerobic, isometric, and proprioceptive techniques. These movements help support neuromuscular coordination and whole-body integration, key for energy, ease of movement, and confidence. You’ll also find day-to-day posture tips, energy boosters, and routines that promote stamina in school, at home, and during play.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
