Level 1A – Ages 4–8 | Mild Need – Calm and Relaxation Programme
Children who struggle with emotional regulation often find it hard to switch off, sleep well, or respond calmly to everyday challenges. These difficulties may show up as anxiety, irritability, physical tension, or problems focusing, and over time, can affect learning, behaviour, and wellbeing.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
The Level 1A Calm and Relaxation programme includes eight imaginative, child-friendly exercises, including Deeply Relaxing Bodies, Inflating Balloons, Grounding the Body, and Positive Body Buttons. Each activity combines gentle movement, breathing, and visualisation techniques to calm the nervous system and support short-term relief and long-term emotional balance. These games help settle the body, quieten the mind, and give children the tools they need to self-soothe and recover from sensory or emotional overload. Over time, children may show improved focus, better sleep, and greater confidence in managing their feelings.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
