Small Group Proprioception Programme – Ages 4–8
This 16 week small group programme supports children aged 4–8 who struggle with spatial awareness, balance, coordination, and physical control, often seen in pupils who bump into things, fidget frequently, or find it difficult to sit upright. It’s ideal for children with sensory processing challenges, motor delays, or wider SEN needs.
Through creative movement games included in this PDF download like; Snow Angels, Bubble Capture, Wobbly Bottoms, and Animal Morphing, children build greater body awareness, strength, and regulation. The structured, play-based approach targets proprioceptive development, helping children feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to engage with learning.
Programme includes:
- A 16 week plan split into two 8 week blocks
- 12 targeted movement games for proprioceptive input
- Visual game cards with step-by-step instructions
- Built-in assessments to track progress
- Pupil reflection and goal-setting tools
- A teacher delivery guide with practical advice
Each session takes just 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times a week, and fits easily into the school timetable. Ideal for use in small group interventions, SEN support, or physical readiness programmes. No specialist equipment or training required.
