Small Group Coordination & Laterality Programme – Ages 9–14
This 16 week programme supports pupils aged 9–14 who struggle with physical coordination, cross-body movement, or low confidence in PE and daily school activities. It’s designed for small group delivery and ideal for learners with developmental motor challenges, emerging neurodivergent needs, or difficulties with posture, handwriting, or movement-based tasks.
The targeted sessions use imaginative, movement-based games to improve coordination between the left and right sides of the body, strengthen the core, and develop motor control. Activities in this PDF download include; The Body Goes Wrong Show, Lying Twisters, Elephants on the March, Hypnotic Eyes, Zombie Bodies, and Kick the Bag, each supporting key foundations for learning and confident movement.
This programme includes:
- A 16 week plan split into two 8 week blocks
- 12 progressive, whole-body coordination games
- Visual game cards with step-by-step instructions
- Goal-setting and pupil reflection tools
- Built-in assessments for tracking progress
- A teacher delivery guide with day-to-day tips
Each session takes just 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times per week, and fits easily into timetables. Use in group interventions, nurture sessions, or as part of a wider motor development strategy. No specialist training or equipment needed.
