Level 1a – Ages 4 to 8 | Mild Need – Proprioception Programme
Children with proprioceptive difficulties may appear clumsy, use too much or too little force, slouch, or struggle to judge where their body is in space. You might notice them bumping into things, pressing too hard with a pencil, or finding it hard to sit still or move smoothly. These challenges can affect confidence, coordination, and everyday skills like handwriting, dressing, and playing with others.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s practical, affordable, and ready to make a real difference in everyday family life.
Created for children aged 4 to 8 with mild proprioceptive needs, the Level 1A Proprioception Programme includes eight creative and challenging games including; Spring Flowers, Bubble Capture, Hurricanes and Whirlwinds, Snow Angels, Twisty Cuffs, Turning and Spinning, Olympic Skydivers, and Animal Morphing. These movement based games strengthen the brain–body connection, improve spatial awareness, and help children learn how to move with greater control and confidence. Over time, they begin to develop steadier posture, smoother coordination, and a better sense of their body in relation to the world around them.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
