Level 2A – Ages 4–8 | Moderate Need – Body Awareness Programme
Children who struggle with body awareness may appear clumsy, off-balance, or unsure of their movements. They may slouch, bump into things, misjudge distances, or find tasks like dressing, drawing, or participating in PE unusually challenging. These signs can affect confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
The Level 2A Body Awareness programme includes eight playful and progressive movement games – including Simon Says, Bubbles, New Skin, Spring Flowers, Wobbly Bottoms, Silent Mirrors, The Flow of Breath, and Deeply Relaxing Bodies. These games are designed to strengthen the body schema, develop control and balance, and support a positive sense of body image.
Each game builds key neuro-motor connections that help children gain greater awareness and control over their body in space. Repeated use supports better posture, improved coordination, and physical confidence, as well as emotional grounding and readiness to learn.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
