Small Group Body Awareness Programme – Ages 4–8
This 16 week small group programme helps children aged 4–8 who struggle with balance, posture, or movement confidence. It supports physical development and emotional wellbeing through structured, sensory-motor games.
Some children appear clumsy, slouch in class, or avoid physical activities. They may have SEN, neurodivergent profiles, or emerging developmental needs that affect coordination and spatial awareness. This programme offers low-pressure, enjoyable sessions that improve core movement skills and build self-confidence over time.
Activities included in the download include Bubble Capture, Inner Spirals, Funhouse Mirrors, Tiny Explorer, and The Healing Orb – each designed to support posture, coordination, and body schema through playful, engaging movement.
This programme includes:
- A 16 week plan in two flexible 8 week blocks
- 12 targeted movement games
- Visual instructions and minimal equipment required
- Pupil assessments and goal-setting tools
- Delivery guide with group tips and practical strategies
Sessions take 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times per week, and fit easily into intervention slots, nurture groups, or wider support provision. No specialist training required.
