Level 2B – Ages 9–14 | Moderate Need – Tactile Programme
Children with tactile sensitivities may react strongly to certain fabrics, seams, or unexpected touch. They might pull at clothing, avoid contact, or become unsettled by textures that others barely notice. These reactions can make it harder to concentrate, stay comfortable, or join in everyday activities, often affecting confidence, focus, and emotional balance.
The Level 2B Tactile Programme is designed for children aged 9 to 14 who need structured, practical support to manage sensory discomfort and feel more at ease with everyday sensations. Through calm, sensory-based movement activities, the programme helps the nervous system process touch more efficiently, improving comfort, attention, and emotional regulation. Over time, children become more confident, relaxed, and better able to focus and participate in daily life.
If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s practical, affordable, and ready to make a real difference in everyday family life.
The programme features eight engaging, tactile focused movement games including; Unfolding Digits, Grounding the Body, Mad Creatures, and Silent Mirrors. These activities gently desensitise touch responses, strengthen body awareness, and support calm focus through structured, enjoyable movement.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
