Level 2A – Ages 4–8 | Moderate Need – Muscle Tone Programme
Low muscle tone can show up as poor posture, fatigue, fidgeting, or difficulty keeping up with physical tasks. You may notice your child slumping, leaning, or tiring easily during movement, sitting, or learning. Low muscle tone can be an underlying issue that affects confidence, being at easy and comfortable, and ultimately a willingness to be active at school or home.
This programme is designed to help. If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
Developed for children aged 4–8 with moderate muscle tone needs, the Level 2A programme includes eight sequenced, play-based games including; Olympic Spot Joggers, Bunny Hop Race, and The Human Rolling Pin, that gradually build endurance, body control, and postural strength over 16 weeks. The games are designed to develop key areas including core stability, weight-bearing tolerance, and body awareness. Techniques include muscle loading, aerobic bursts, and static holds, known to support postural control and functional strength in young children. You’ll also find everyday strategies to help improve posture, boost stamina, and increase confidence during learning and play.
Each session takes less than 10 minutes a day, ideally 5 times a week, and progresses through a 16 week plan.
The programme includes:
- Eight targeted games
- A visual progress tracker
- Flexible pacing options
- Shared goal-setting activity
- Additional Day-to-day recommendations
- Tips and support to help you get the most from every session.
