Level 3b – Ages 9 to 14 | Higher Need – Coordination and Laterality Programme
Children with persistent coordination and laterality challenges may struggle with everyday physical tasks such as handwriting, PE, or moving confidently through space. These difficulties can affect their confidence, emotional wellbeing and ability to fully engage in learning and play. This 16 week programme is designed to offer structured, supportive activities that help.
Created for 9 to 14 year olds with higher needs in this area, the Level 3b Coordination and Laterality Programme includes carefully chosen movement games that support motor control, cross-lateral coordination and postural balance. Taking less than 10 minutes a day, ideally five times a week, this 16 week programme can help children feel more steady, organised and physically confident.
If you’ve just completed our free online assessment, this is the level recommended for your child. If not, the assessment is always available to help guide your choice. Whether there’s a diagnosis, a flagged need, or simply something you’ve noticed, this programme offers targeted support that’s flexible, affordable and ready to make a difference in everyday family life.
The eight activities include Rocking Eyes, Twin Heads, Lying Twisters, Baby Roll, Elephants on the March, Flipping Limpets, The Slow Motion Escape and Silent Mirrors. Each game is playful and purposeful, targeting the integration of movement between the two sides of the body, and supporting brain body communication.
With clear instructions, variations to suit different needs and a visual progress tracker, this is a manageable and motivating way to support your child. Whether your child has a diagnosis or simply finds coordination more difficult than their peers, this programme provides structured support that fits into everyday life.
